Crime Prevention

The Saskatchewan Crime Prevention Police Practitioners (S.C.P.P.P.) is a sub-committee of the Saskatchewan Association of Chiefs of Police (S.A.C.P.). This committee was formed in the year 2000 and was mandated by the S.A.C.P. to research and develop public education and awareness programs in the area of crime prevention to the citizens of Saskatchewan. Sitting on the committee are a varied group of committed persons from all over the province, whose backgrounds are in the area of policing services, government and education. The S.C.P.P.P. looks at serious crime issues affecting the citizens of Saskatchewan. When these issues are identified an educational program and campaign is developed and brought to the Saskatchewan people by way of various media sources. These endeavors are made possible through funding from the Saskatchewan Justice Proceeds of Crime.
