S/Sgt. Darren Wouters of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police "F" Division

with the

Leadership Award

S/Sgt. Darren Wouters has been a member of the RCMP since 1990 serving communities in Northern Alberta and Saskatchewan.

S/Sgt. Wouters has exemplified his leadership abilities not only through work at the office, but in every community that he has been posted to. In these communities, he has taken the lead to build relationships, volunteer his time working with youth, coach sports, and develop various initiatives that improve the quality of life.

S/Sgt. Wouters has built a foundation of “Leadership” abilities that communities and the RCMP Management desire to see from their members. He leads by example, therefore members he supervises are motivated to develop and follow his leadership style. They understand how this enhances their policing service to the community.

S/Sgt. Wouters continues his Leadership Initiatives in the community he serves and encourages subordinates through his Professionalism and Leadership. He lives the core values of the RCMP in his daily work and he gives distinguished service to the citizens of Saskatchewan and Canada.
