The Saskatchewan Association of Chiefs of Police is proud to present

D/Chief Randy Fuhr (Rtd) of the Moose Jaw Police Service

with the

Lifetime Achievement Award

D/Chief Fuhr was a member of the Moose Jaw Police Service for 36 years and during his career he worked in Patrol, Traffic, and Forensic Identification.

He was promoted to S/Sgt. in 2001, providing support to Human Resources, Budget Information Technology, and the Criminal Investigation Section. During this time he oversaw major renovations to the indoor range and detention centre.

In 2007, he was promoted to Inspector responsible for Human Resources, Finance, Information Technology, Strategic Planning, Risk Management, Policy, and Audit. He chaired the POPAT Committee and served as a key representative in the redesign of competency-based training for recruits, operational investigators and senior constable training at the Saskatchewan Police College.

In 2010, Randy was promoted to D/Chief. He:

  1. assisted with the Community Survey and creating of the Strategic Plan.
  2. led the development and implementation of the Canine Unit.
  3. oversaw the implementation of a new radio system.

D/Chief Fuhr was an active member of the Saskatchewan Association of Chiefs of Police where he:

  1. chaired the Excellence in Policing Awards Committee.
  2. chaired the Fire Arms Committee.
  3. was a member of the SACP/SGI Sub-Committee.
  4. was a member of the D/Chiefs Committee.
  5. was a member of the Chiefs – D/Chiefs Committee.
  6. was a member of the Regional Crime Consultation Committee.

D/Chief Fuhr was affiliated with the:

  1. Canadian Police Sector Council Human Resource Committee.
  2. Saskatchewan Police Aboriginal Recruitment Committee.
  3. International Association of Arson Investigators.
  4. Canadian Association of Technical Accident Investigators and Reconstructionists.
  5. Canadian Identification Society.

D/Chief Fuhr was also a member of the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police and the International Association of Chiefs of Police.

D/Chief Fuhr dedicated 36 years of policing to the citizens of Moose Jaw and Saskatchewan. The Saskatchewan Association of Chiefs of Police is proud to recognize D/Chief Randy Fuhr with the “Life Time Achievement Award”.
