The Saskatchewan Association of Chiefs of Police is proud to present
Sgt. Troy Dumont of the Prince Albert Police Service
Public Education Award
Sergeant Troy Dumont has served with the Prince Albert Police Service since 2000.
In 2015, he spearheaded an Alcohol Awareness Program comprised of two components.
The first component was a “Teens and Alcohol Poster Project” engaging youth in an alcohol awareness campaign. This campaign provided students the opportunity for their voices to be heard about the negative consequences of alcohol.
The second component was aimed at drinking and driving - partnering with MADD and SGI and delivering a strong visible message to the community about the impact of impaired driving.
Alcohol has been identified as a social challenge in Prince Albert, especially to school aged children. Sgt. Dumont developed relationships with Education, Health, and MADD and through education and awareness engaged youth who are committed to a reduction in the abuse of alcohol in the community.
The Saskatchewan Association of Chiefs of Police is proud to recognize Sgt. Troy Dumont with the “Public Education Award”.
