The Saskatchewan Association of Chiefs of Police
is proud to present
Inspector Shelley Ballard
of the Saskatoon Police Service
Community Policing Award
Inspector Shelley Ballard has considerable policing experience in the areas of Patrol, Planning and Research, Internal Investigations, Community Response and was co-director of the International Association of Women Police Conference in 2006. Inspector Ballard is currently in charge of the Central Division which has the highest crime areas in Saskatoon. Under the leadership of Inspector Ballard the Central Division Advisory Committee was created to make safer communities and reduce crime.
Initiating, supporting, and maintaining a community based committee within core neighbourhoods is extremely difficult. Inspector Ballard worked hard to ensure this area of the city had the most opportunity for improvement and change.
Since 2009 the Advisory Committee was able to make significant contributions to the community it served. It gathered significant intelligence and created closer relationships with the community at large.
The Saskatchewan Chiefs of Police is proud to recognize Inspector Shelley Ballard’s service with the Community Policing Award.
